Though Lemosho route is the longest among the others, tour guides taking you on the trail often prefer Lemosho over the other routes owing to; it has fewer people on the trail as compared to the other routes. then secondly, the success rate of ascending to the peak has been much higher as compared to the other routes used.

Climbing up the mountain you will be assisted by our experienced mountain climbing guides  and porters who will come in handy in carrying your luggage. Cooks to help in cooking during the duration on the mountain will also be part of the team.

Tour Plan

It is advised that visitors make their arrangements two or three days before they start climbing the mountain so they have time to recuperate and acclimate to the local climate. The hotel room of the visitor's choice is provided to them when they arrive, allowing them to rest before rising. Hotel reservations will be reasonable and not overpriced for lodging at the time.
You will be taken to Londorossi by travel brokers. This is located on the west flank ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trek to the 2000 m (562 ft) start of Lemosho can now proceed since all legal formalities have been finished. You might come across buffalos, Colobus monkeys, and other non-feral species along the journey, and the path is slightly hilly. It will take three hours to hike to the first camp spot.
The climbers must endure a difficult terrain and ascend 1000 meters (3280 feet) in the following phase, which takes 7-8 hours. The trail is surrounded by volcanic stones and moor vegetation, so climbers must proceed with considerable caution. From here, near to Kibo peak, one may obtain a good view of Shira Ridge, one of the three volcanic summits on Kilimanjaro. The day will culminate at Shira camp 2 after a number of rest and refreshment stops along the trekking trail for the tourists.
On this section of the walk, there will be a 750 meter height gain and a 700 meter elevation loss. A 300-meter tower of volcanic lava is reached after a four-hour journey through the desert. You need to walk for 1 to 2 hours in the afternoon to get to the Barranco valley, which is lower in elevation than the previous excursion.
Tarangire National Park may only be explored on a full driving day. The trip will start right away after a delicious breakfast. Even though it is one of the less well-known parks in the world, the park offers you a realistic and exciting tour experience. Supposedly on the third day. Traveling in one of our executive tour cars will allow you to cut the distance in half or more as you pass through the rocky terrain, tall Baobab trees, and a clear blue sky. Elephant herds can be seen here, some of which had upwards of 300 animals moving together. Elephants frequently "gather" in this way close to the Tarangire River to partake in refreshments or simply to unwind in a mud bath. Other animals such as Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs are also available in Tarangire, not to mention Pythons. The bird-lovers (I wonder who isn’t) are more than taken care of in this same park. It has uncountable bird species giving you a whole paradise of dissimulation of birds- it’s a beautiful sight.
There is a 750-meter ascent required to complete this section. The section is characterized by breathtaking vistas, making it one of the most well-liked parts of the overall climbing experience for tourists. While rotating, the breathtaking view of Kibo is on the left, while Mount Meru can be seen from the top on the right. It is breathtaking to see. After 8 to 10 hours of climbing the hills, you will arrive at the Barafu camp below the summit of Kilimanjaro. To give their bodies more time to acclimate to the weather, some climbers decide to extend the second phase by two days.
On this portion of the climb, there is a 1,295 meter (4,248 foot) height rise and a 2,785 meter (337 foot) fall. Midnight marks the beginning of the 6- to 8-hour ascent to the Uhuru peak. This stage is always a bit difficult for many people because of the altitude, the low temperatures, and the requirement to hike in the dark. In order for you to reach Stella Point in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise above Mawenzi Peak, the trip is always completed at a predetermined speed. The journey from Stella Point to Uhuru Peak on Mount Kilimanjaro takes an hour.
During this climbing stage, the route will gain 280 meters (4199 feet). You will arrive at the Mwake gate after two to three hours of walking through a lush, gorgeous forest from the summit. You will have achieved your objective of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro by this time.
After successfully ascending and descending the mountain, one may choose to travel to other lovely, scenic locations within Tanzania, such as the Pemba Islands and the Mafia Islands, two of the most exotic islands in East Africa, or even the subtropical Zanzibar Islands in the Indian Ocean. How physically prepared should you be to climb Mount Kilimanjaro through the Lemosho Route? Given the distance and terrain, one must travel on foot for a minimum of 6-7 days, in a variety of climates, and at an increasing altitude. If taken into mind, a number of factors will enable you to reach the summit without experiencing too much difficulty. 1. Always move at a pace that is not so fast as this will give your body time to acclimatize to the temperatures as you climb up. 2. Prior to climbing the mountain, do some exercise to ensure you are fit. You can have some aerobics sessions or jogging to help you keep fit. It’s always hard to tell if one will succumb to altitude sickness. But the good thing is that the Lemosho Route offers a favourable climbing trek owing to the high terrain and the low terrain which gives the body room to adapt. Over time few people have been reported to have succumbed to altitude sickness. In case you need advice on how to prepare to tackle Mount Kilimanjaro, you can contact us for advice.
