Arriving at Entebbe Airport will determine how you proceed to your aircraft to Kihihi, which departs Entebbe at 1230 and arrives in Kihihi at 1345. After arriving, take a private 4WD vehicle transfer from Kihihi Airstrip to your overnight accommodation. In the evening, either rest in preparation for tomorrow's daylong tracking or go for a self-guided tour of the Lodge to get to know the locals. Lunch and dinner are on the menu. Meals and lodging are provided at Buhoma Lodge (FB).
After breakfast at 7:30 am, take a private transfer to the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing from park ranger guides before beginning your gorilla trek through a stunningly forested area along many wildlife pathways. The opportunity to see the friendly, endangered mountain gorillas is the adventure's high point. A picnic lunch can be eaten on route. It can take three to eight hours to complete this. Meals and lodging at Buhoma Lodge (FB).
For your return journey to Entebbe, you are taken to Kihihi Airstrip after breakfast. There are two options: 1 departs Kihihi at 10:55 and arrives at 11:55, and 14:05 arrives at 15:55. You'll connect with your departure flight when you get to Entebbe. You might spend the day sightseeing in Entebbe (depending on the time of your flight.
